The terms and conditions outlined herein constitute a formal and contractual agreement between you (the Client) and Shangrila Adventure Pvt. Ltd. regarding our services.
We urge you to carefully review our terms and conditions. Upon booking any trek, tour, climbing, adventure programs and travel trip a binding contract is formed.
By submitting a reservation, either online or in any other form, you agree to all terms, confirming your acknowledgement of the trip details and the accuracy of your provided information.

The terms and conditions provide clients with guidance on booking confirmations, payments, refunds, cancellations, and any additional fees as per our company policy. By agreeing to these terms, you enter into a legally binding contract with Shangrila Adventure Pvt. Ltd . for the provision of our services.
Upon the successful confirmation of your reservation, Shangrila Adventure Pvt. Ltd. will issue a formal confirmation once the payment of your trip has been received. It’s important to review the confirmation document carefully and immediately notify Shangrila Adventure Pvt. Ltd. of any discrepancies or missing details. Make sure that the names on the booking match exactly as per your passports or any ID issued by the government.
When making a booking for other travelers, you assume the role of the primary contact for all individuals on that reservation. This involves taking responsibility for all associated payments. Should there be a need for modifications or cancellations, it is your duty to inform us, as well as to keep the rest of your party updated.
In cases where you’re arranging travel for others, you affirm that you’ve secured all necessary permissions. You must ensure that the information you submit on behalf of others is both complete and accurate. Please note that the Shangrila Adventure Pvt. Ltd. is not responsible for any mistakes or missing details in the information you provide to finalize a booking.
2- Booking Nepal Trip
You can process a booking via our website- shangrilaadventures.com , our third-party websites, Online Travel Platform, Our International branch offices ( Czech Republic, Nordic Region and Poland ), Our Partnership offices ( Shangri-la Adventure LLC, USA ) or email us at info@shangrilaadventures.com or business@shangrilaadventures.com
The term ‘trip’ encompasses all the itineraries and activities purchased from us, such as Trekking, Tours, Climbing, and any other adventure programs we offer.
A formal agreement between the Client and the Company is established only after the Company issues a confirmation invoice or email to the Client.
The Company reserves the authority to adjust the prices of its products (Trek, Tour, Climbing, Adventure/trips) prior to the confirmation of bookings and the activation of the contract.
The Company disclaims any responsibility for guarantees, side agreements, previous agreements, or service descriptions that are not explicitly stated in this document.
All our trek, tour, climbing, adventure program and travel trips are in USD. If you are booking this trip and packages with Shangrila Adventure Pvt. Ltd and making payment in your national local currency, then the same day exchange rate set by Nepal’s Central Bank is applicable when converting your local currency into USD.
To proceed with your booking, please ensure you submit the following:
A- Pay Before Trip Start: You can choose to pay the remaining balance before the commencement of your trip. This is often done a few weeks or days prior to the start date, as per the company’s policy.
B- On Arrival in Nepal: Alternatively, you may settle the final payment can be paid in USD| Credit Card upon your arrival day or pre- trip meeting at our office or hotel. To overcome potential extra charges that may arise from credit card transactions or bank transfers, we offer the alternative of making your payment in cash upon your arrival.
6- Bookings for individual trips should be made at least 40 days in advance.
7- While for a Manasarovar Trip, before 40 days of Trip start: 100 % (full payment) of the trip cost is required at Booking.
Once all these booking trip steps are completed, the company will confirm your booking and provide you with further details regarding your trip, including the itinerary, pre-trip information, and any additional requirements.
It’s always a good idea to review the terms and conditions, especially the cancellation policy, before making a deposit.
3- Package Prices
The stated package cost refers to the price for a specific trip, with all included and excluded expenses detailed in the travel proposal. These prices are primarily determined by ground expenses, flight costs, and currency conversion rates. While we endeavor to maintain stable travel costs, there are occasions when increases are unavoidable. We reserve the right to modify the prices of your trekking, touring, climbing, and travel packages at any moment, without prior notification, even up to the departure date. Such adjustments may stem from a variety of factors, such as fluctuations in currency exchange rates, hikes in fuel costs, changes in airfares, airport charges, and variations in seasonal pricing.
4- Last-Minute Booking
Our last-minute booking service caters to clients who need to make urgent travel arrangements. We offer facilitated booking for treks, tours, and climbs in Nepal, accepting full payment within 24 hours. We’re prepared to facilitate your travel promptly.

Credit Card Payment
Our payment system welcomes the use of Visa, MasterCard, and American Express Card. Please note that a processing fee ranging from 3.5% to 4% will be applied to the transaction amount. This fee is a standard charge by the bank for card transactions and is separate from the overall cost of your trip. Our company does not bear responsibility for this additional bank charge. Please add credit card processing fee on the payment.
6- Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation policies are as follows:
To modify your itinerary post-confirmation, notify us in writing 20 days prior to departure. A 20% fee applies for changes, which will be billed to you. Changes within 20 days are treated as cancellations, incurring respective fees.
Non-utilized services like flights and accommodations are non-refundable. Itineraries serve as guides and are subject to change; we’ll inform you of any known alterations. If unclear about the trip details after booking, you have a 7-day window for a penalty-free cancellation and full refund. This doesn’t apply to bookings made within eight weeks of the trip start.
For Mansorvar tours, the Tibet Tourism Authority exclusively manages all aspects. We’re not liable for alterations or cancellations due to unforeseen events. We advise comprehensive insurance to cover any additional expenses incurred.
Note
If you want to make your trip longer, up to a whole year, and not lose your booking, just let us know with an email two weeks before your trip starts. If the price of the trip goes up for any reason, you’ll need to pay a bit more.
If we have to cancel your trip, we’ll give you back all the money you paid. But if something big and unexpected happens that we can’t control, like a war or a natural disaster, and we cancel, we might keep some of your money to cover what we’ve already spent for your trip.
Our company cannot issue refunds for any portion of the tour, trek, climbing and adventure program that is not completed, regardless of the circumstances leading to your decision to discontinue the trip . It is essential that you discuss your intention to withdraw from the trip with your guide beforehand.
7- Medical Conditions, Health and Fitness.
It’s important to be in good physical and mental condition for high-altitude trekking. We recommend a health and fitness check-up with your general practitioner (GP) before you travel with us. Please inform us of any existing medical issues or disabilities when you book your trip.
Participation in our tours, treks, climbing and adventure programs necessitates a certain fitness level; thus, you are advised to consult your doctor about your health and fitness before embarking on your Nepal journey.
Clients are obliged to inform Shangrila Adventure Pvt. Ltd about any existing health conditions or disabilities that could potentially increase the likelihood of needing medical care or impact travel capability. Not informing the Company may lead to travel denial. If a client’s failure to disclose any such condition leads to a cancellation, the client will incur a cancellation fee of 100%.
Certain journeys might not be appropriate for clients due to factors like age, mobility, pregnancy, or specific physical or mental health conditions. Clients must verify their suitability before making a reservation.
The Company is under no obligation to offer particular accommodations unless there is a written agreement to that effect. While the Company will endeavor to accommodate special requests, including dietary preferences, these are not guaranteed by the contract, and the Company is not accountable for failing to fulfill such requests.
The quality of medical services can differ significantly across different countries, and the Company does not make any claims or guarantees regarding the level of medical care provided.
8- Children
All travelers below sixteen must have a legal guardian with them. For any inquiries about age requirements or trip suitability, feel free to reach out to us for more details.
9- Travel Insurance
It is mandatory for all clients to possess travel insurance during their trip with us. The insurance should provide coverage for various situations including weather-related delays, personal accidents, fatalities, medical costs, costs of repatriation, helicopter evacuations, air ambulance services, trip cancellations, natural calamities, as well as loss or theft of luggage, gear, and equipment.
10- Flight Delays| Cancellation | Changes in the Itineraries
It’s important to be aware that weather conditions in mountainous areas are highly variable and can lead to disruptions in domestic air travel. Flights, whether by airplane or helicopter, may face delays or cancellations due to the unpredictable weather commonly found in remote locations, including but not limited to the Everest, Annapurna, Dolpo, Simikot, Ramechaap, and Jumla regions. On the other hand, if your return flight is delayed, you will be responsible for any extra expenses, such as for food and lodging. You should choose to arrange an alternative mode of transportation, like a helicopter flight, to circumvent these delays, the additional costs incurred will fall on you.
Furthermore, Shangrila Adventure Pvt. Ltd is not liable for any expenses that arise from missing your international flight, although we will provide assistance in making other arrangements if possible. Be advised that changes to the itinerary may be necessary while on the trek, tour, climbing and adventure program due to unexpected events.
11- Injuries and Evacuation
Shangrila Adventure Pvt. Ltd, will not assume responsibility for any physical, mental, emotional, or other types of distress that a client may experience during the trip. Our travel packages do not cover personal insurance; therefore, we strongly recommend that clients secure comprehensive insurance coverage that includes provisions for medical issues and helicopter evacuation in the event of emergencies.
12- Passport and Visa ( Nepal )
Travelers must possess a passport that remains valid for at least six months beyond the date of their return. A visa for Nepal can be acquired from the Nepalese Embassy or Consulate in your home country, or upon your arrival at the airport in Kathmandu. The cost of obtaining a Nepalese visa is the client’s responsibility. For comprehensive information, please refer to the official guidelines on the Nepalese Tourist Visa.
The application for the Nepalese Tourist Visa is available online through the Department of Immigration Websites.This form is valid for 15 days; therefore, it should be completed within 15 days prior to your planned arrival in Nepal. Upon submission of the online form, you will receive a confirmation receipt via email. It is essential to print this receipt and bring it with you, as it must be presented to the immigration officials upon entry.
13- Risks and Liabilities
Our trek, tour, climbing and adventure program in Nepal adhere strictly to the tourism regulations of each country. Shangrila Adventure is not accountable for any itinerary alterations resulting from circumstances outside our control. These may include sudden governmental policy shifts, local political issues, restrictions, inclement weather, health problems among trekkers, fatalities, road closures, as well as flight disruptions or cancellations due to natural calamities like earthquakes, landslides, floods, heavy snow, avalanches, etc. If such situations arise, the clients will be responsible for any additional costs incurred. We also advise all travelers to secure travel insurance for their time in Nepal to safeguard against these risks.
14- Complaint
If you encounter any issues during your trip, it’s important to promptly inform a tour leader or guide. Alternatively, you can contact our office in Kathmandu without delay. It’s advisable not to wait until the end of your trip to raise concerns. Addressing issues while still on the trek, tour, climbing and adventure program allows us to take swift and effective measures to rectify the situation immediately or at the earliest convenience. While we are open to hearing your grievances post-trip and will act accordingly, we urge you to report them early. This enables us to enhance your experience, ensuring you can fully enjoy the remainder of your journey as anticipated.

15- Privacy
Shangrila Adventure prioritizes the safeguarding of your personal data’s privacy and confidentiality. Rest assured, any private or personal details shared with us during the booking process will remain confidential and will not be used for purposes other than those intended.
16- Publicity
By participating in this trip, you consent to allow Shangrila Adventure to utilize photographs and videos taken of you during the journey for advertising and promotional activities in any media without your permission or entitlement to compensation.
17- Acceptance of Terms
The terms and conditions outlined here apply exclusively to direct bookings made with our company. If you choose to book our trip via an external party or agents, you will also be subject to their respective terms and conditions in addition to ours.
18- Applicable Law
Shangrila Adventure is headquartered in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, Nepal, and the terms and conditions are subject to Nepalese law. Disputes related to these terms and conditions will be settled solely in the courts of Kathmandu, including the District Court, High Court, and Supreme Court. No legal actions can be initiated in any foreign country, and it is agreed that Nepalese courts shall be the exclusive venue for any proceedings concerning these terms and conditions.
19- Updating of Terms and Conditions
The Company holds the authority to modify these terms and conditions whenever necessary. Clients are obliged to stay informed about any alterations. The latest set of terms and conditions can always be accessed on the website shangrilaadventures.com , which will be the version referenced in case of any disagreements.
