Mardi Himal Trek- 9 Days

Mardi Himal Trek is a relatively new and increasingly popular trekking trail in the Annapurna Region of Nepal. Trekkers seek a closer connection with nature favor it, as well as the opportunity to experience the Gurung culture and hospitality.

The journey begins from Pokhara and officially starts from Phedi to Deurali. The trail winds along small paths and gradually transforms into steep hills up to Forest Camp. The trekkers will pass through alpine forests with stunning rhododendron blooms, then onto the top of a ridge where they will trek through the jungle.

The trail drops steeply and then gains height, leading to High Camp. The landscape dramatically changes into a rugged high mountain landscape, with breathtaking views of Mt. Machhapuchhre (6,997m) and Mt. Annapurna (8,091m).

After witnessing the mesmerizing views from Mardi Himal Base Camp, the trek continues back to High Camp before heading to Siding.

From Siding, the trek follows the trail towards Lumbre, a village predominantly inhabited by the Gurung, Magar, and Brahmin communities. Eventually, the trekkers will trek back to Pokhara and then to their final destination, Kathmandu. The best time to trek here is from March to May and September to November when the skies are clear and the trails are dry.
