The Tsum Valley trek is a popular trekking destination located in the Manaslu region of Nepal. Boudha Himal and Himal Chuli bound it in the west, Ganesh Himal in the south, and Siring Himal in the north. The Hidden Mystic Valley came into popularity in 2008 after the government decided to open the route for foreign tourists. Earlier to that, it was only open for domestic tourists.
This valley is different from all the trekking routes as you can find massive deviations not only in the lifestyle but also in scenic landscapes, ancient trails, spiritual significance, and warm hospitality of Tsumbas. The Tsumbas are the inhabitants of people living in the Tsum valley, who mainly practice Tibetan origin and practice Tibetan Buddhism.
This valley is heavily influenced by Tibetan culture and has its language. They follow their own set of traditions, rituals, and close-knit community lifestyle. The Manaslu Tsum Valley trek remained unexplored for a long time due to its remote location and accessibility.
However, with a government decision to open the trek for both national and international tourists, many tourists have been able to experience the rich culture and natural beauty of the region. In recent times, the Tsum Valley trek has been extremely popular among trekkers, who are looking for a unique and unconventional travel experience and focus on high altitude trekking.
