The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is a 9-day adventure in Nepal that offers breathtaking views of the Annapurna Panorama Excursion. The trek starts with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, followed by a drive to Nayapul and a trek to Tikhedhunga. The trail passes through dense rhododendron forests, and we stay overnight at teahouses in Ghorepani, Tadapani, and Ghandruk Village.

We hike to Poon Hill to witness the stunning sunrise over the Himalayas and continue our trek to Syauli Bazar before driving back to Pokhara and Kathmandu. Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel.

If your arrival is in the evening, we will hold a guide briefing at the hotel. However, if you arrive during the day, we will have the briefing at our office. The guide briefing will give you an overview of the trek and answer any questions you may have.

Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara

After breakfast at the hotel, we will take a scenic drive to Pokhara by tourist bus. It takes around 6-7 hours to reach Pokhara, where we will spend the night at a hotel on a bed-and-breakfast basis.

Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul(1hrs) and Trek to Ulleri

Trek Duration 5-6hrs

After breakfast, we will drive to Nayapul, which is the starting point of our trek. From Nayapul, we will trek to Tikhedhunga, which takes around 6-7 hours. We will stay overnight at a teahouse in Tikhedhunga, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.

Day 4
Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani

We will start our day early and trek to Ghorepani, which takes around 6-7 hours. The trail passes through dense rhododendron forests, with breathtaking views of the Himalayas. We will stay overnight at a teahouse in Ghorepani, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.

Hike to Poon-Hill(3,210m) for Sunrise view & trek to Tadapani

We will wake up early and hike to Poon Hill to witness the stunning sunrise over the Himalayas. After enjoying the view, we will return to Ghorepani for breakfast and then continue our trek to Tadapani, which takes around 7 hours. We will stay overnight at a teahouse in Tadapani, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.

Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk Village

We will continue our trek to Ghandruk Village, which takes around 6 hours. Ghandruk is a traditional Gurung village with stunning views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre. We will stay overnight at a teahouse in Ghandruk, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.

Trek back to Nayapul from Ghandruk and drive to Pokhara(1hrs)

After breakfast, we will take a scenic drive back to Kathmandu, which takes around 6-7 hours. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. You can spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

 

You will have a complete day to discover the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu, including Swayambhunath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Meals

During the trek, all three meals – breakfast, lunch, and dinner – will be provided. Breakfast will be served at the hotel in Kathmandu, and a range of cuisines, including Nepalese, Tibetan, Indian, and continental, will be available. Additionally, welcome and farewell dinners will be organized.

Accomodation

While in Kathmandu, we will stay in a 5-star hotel or equivalent accommodation. During the trek, twin-sharing rooms will be provided in tea houses. For an extra fee, single supplement rooms can be arranged. Accommodations with attached washrooms will be arranged, but shared facilities may be the only option in certain areas. However, single rooms are readily available in Kathmandu and lower elevation trekking regions.
